The European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) is pleased to inform you that it is organising a seminar entitled “Committees and Comitology in the European Policy Process” in Maastricht on 7-9 June 2006. This seminar will be held in French.

This intensive three-day training course should enable the participants to better understand the role of committees in the policy process, from a theoretical as well as practical perspective. The main objective of this seminar is to give the participants the tools to influence as much as possible the decisions taken within the many committees of the European Union.

You will find enclosed the provisional programme of the seminar and we would like to draw your particular attention to the contribution of Mr Ponzano, Director within the European Commission and former member of the European Convention (not confirmed yet, however). His lecture will deal with the developments in the field of comitology in the context of the draft European Constitution.
