Objectives
This seminar will focus on the four financial instruments of the framework programme entitled: “Solidarity and management of migration flows for the period 2007-2013”. In particular, it will cover the funding mechanisms for integration, asylum, integrated management of external borders and return. It will also explore complementary funding possibilities such as the European Social Fund (ESF) and the EC-UN funding initiative. This seminar will offer practical guidance on access to EU funding opportunities for migration and it will provide an insight into the actual implementation of administering the funds by the competent authorities. This seminar will provide an excellent platform for participants to exchange experiences and best practices.
Target groups
The seminar is aimed at public officials from national, regional and local authorities of the EU Member States, and in particular managing authorities. It is also of interest to NGOs, the private sector and practitioners.
